Bruce Ikeda is a creative director, music director, and producer known for creating striking content and immersive experiences through the power of music, visuals, and storytelling.
He began his career at ADK as an account executive before joining the newly established Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo office in 1999. While producing work for Nike Japan and APHQ, his projects that seamlessly blended music and visual culture drew wide attention. This led to the co-founding of W+K Tokyo Lab in 2003, where he served as producer and music director for eight years. The label’s innovative audio-visual works earned global acclaim.
In 2012, Bruce founded his own creative studio, JKD Collective. Through close collaborations with renowned visual artists, composers, and brand creators, he leads the development of immersive installations, films, and sound-driven experiences across a wide range of industries. His work continues to explore new possibilities at the intersection of art, technology, and culture.
Most recently, Bruce served as the music director and producer of the large-scale outdoor soundscape for Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, designing a generative, multi-zone audio experience in collaboration with seven composers and more than 600 speakers installed across the venue.
His projects have received multiple international recognitions, including the Japan Media Arts Festival, D&AD, The One Show, and ADC.
